Coffee & Donuts - Coffee and Donuts will be available in the Social Hall following both the 8AM and the 10AM Masses this morning.  All are welcome to attend.

Important: 2017/18 Financial Outlook Booklet - Next Sunday a Financial Outlook booklet for the 2017/18 fiscal year will be available for everyone.  This will contain important information for all parishioners.  Please be sure to take one home with you next Sunday.

Benediction Following Mass Today - Immediately following the 10AM Mass this morning we will have Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.  This is done on every 1st Sunday of the Month.

Fathers Day Mass Novena Cards - Father’s Day cards are now available at the back of the church.  Please fill out the names of the people you wish to be remembered in the Novena of Masses that will begin on Sunday, June 18th and end on the 26th.  Return the envelopes by Sunday, June 11th.  They may be placed in the collection basket or mailed to the office.

Parish Picnic - Our Summer Parish Picnic is set for August 6.  It will be held at Siebert Park just across the river in Camp Hill following the 10am Mass.  Please save the date in your calendar.

Sacramentals for Expectant Mothers - There are certain Sacramentals in the Roman Ritual through which we request God’s blessing that an expecting mother can have a safe delivery and also the grace of having her child baptized.  The priests would be happy to provide the following to any expecting lady at her request.  Please do not hesitate to ask.

  • Blessing of Expectant Mother

Can be given at any time during pregnancy.

  • Candle in Honor of St. Raymond Nonnatus

To be taken home and burned, and especially when the time of delivery approaches.

  • St. Torellus Water

Special Holy Water which can be sprinkled, used to bless oneself, drunk, or used in small amounts in cooking.

Mass Intentions - When requesting Masses, please note that you can request that they be offered at a public Mass or one of the priests’ private Masses.  Right now we have very few private Masses.  So a private Mass intention will likely be offered sooner than a public Mass intention

Confirmations Next Saturday - On Saturday, June 10 at 11am Bishop Gainer will confer the sacrament of Confirmation on 27 of our young people.  The Confirmation ceremony will be followed immediately by Exposition and Benediction of the blessed sacrament.  All are welcome to attend.

Next Saturday Schedule Adjustment - This Saturday only, the usual Holy Hour from 8am - 9am will be cancelled on account of Exposition being held after Confirmations.  The only Mass this morning will be the usual 9am Low Mass offered by Father Eichman.  The church doors will be open at 8am for anyone who would like to make a private Holy Hour.

Volunteers Needed to Clean the Church - A few volunteers are needed to help clean the church.  The commitment is to help one of our rotating crews of five to six volunteers to clean for approximately two hours, once per month.  If you are willing to help please contact Elaine Rainey at Seabhj3@gmail.com

Knights of the Altar - Promotions - On Sunday, June 18, after the 10AM Mass twenty-three of our Altar Servers will be receiving promotions as members of the Knights of the Altar.  The ceremony will take place in the church and is open to all; parents  and sisters are encouraged to attend.

Shoes for Africa - The box in the vestibule is for the collection of children’s shoes for Father Bokosi who will carry them back to his 43,000 parishioners at St. Piux X Parish in Malawi, Africa.  Malawi is one of the six poorest countries in the world.  The shoe collection will continue through June 18th, Father’s Day.  Please direct any questions to Elaine Rainey at seabhj3@gmail.com

Food for Needy  - In the basket behind the last pew, the Holy Name Society collects non-perishable food for the Silence of Mary homes.  Our weekly contribution makes a real difference for those living in these homes. If you are looking for a way to help the hungry, please consider giving in this way.
