Evening Mass Time Change Today Only - Today, January 10, our usual 6pm Mass will be moved to 3pm. There will be no Vespers. This change is only for this one week.
Epiphany Water Blessing - There is Epiphany water available in the back of the church near the baptistry for anyone who would like to take some.
Blessing of Epiphany Chalk - Chalk is traditionally blessed on Epiphany for the faithful to take home and use to bless their homes. The top of the door frames entering the house are marked with “20 + C + M + B + 21”. The letters “C” “M” and “B” are the initials of the three kings, Casper, Melchior and Balthazar, who arrived at Bethlehem to worship the baby Jesus on Epiphany. The crosses are placed between the letters and the numbers to remind us of the suffering that Jesus was to undergo for us. Finally, the “20” and “21” are for the 2021 years since the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Traditionally, the marking is left on the door frame until the next year when it is replaced by another year’s blessing. Chalk from previous years can be reused. New chalk blessed on the feast of the Epiphany is also available in the back of the Church.
Youth Group Meeting - On Saturday, January 16 from 6pm - 9pm the youth group will have Jeopardy Night. Competition will be followed by a talk by one of our priests and the Rosary. No experience needed! Please bring a snack to share. The Youth Group is open to young people ages 13 through high school. RSVP at forbecks@comcast.net.
Lost & Found - We have removed the small "Lost and Found" box from the vestibule. It is now in the social hall in the basement. Lost items of higher value such as Hand Missals will be kept in the sacristy until claimed. We are doing this in an effort to keep the vestibule clean from clutter. Also, please do not use this space to give away free items. This includes holy cards, religious books, food and clothing items. Thanks You!
Second Bench Placed in Vestibule - We are putting a new bench in the vestibule to give parents a place to take their children when they begin to make noise, especially during Mass.
Young Adult Brunch Today - For any Young Adults (ages 18-35) interested, the Young Adult Group will meet after the 12 noon Mass today at Squeaky Rail Diner (505 N Enola Rd, Enola, PA 17025) for brunch.
