EXTERNAL SOLEMNITY OF THE MATERNITY OF OUR LADY:
The feast of the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which commemorates the fact that Our Lady is the Mother of God, is the patronal feast day for the Mater Dei (meaning, Mother of God) Latin Mass Community. As such, again we have the privilege of celebrating two of the Masses on Sunday (9 am and 11 am) as an External Solemnity, as if it were the feast day itself so that more people can participate in the celebration. On this day, please give thanks to the many years that God has blessed this community, and remember in your prayers the people who went before to bring the Latin Mass back to Harrisburg.

The course will meet about a half dozen times (more or less depending upon how quickly the material is covered) starting on Friday, Oct. 14, at 7:30 pm. In order to be admitted to the course, couples must have first met with one of the priests and provide the necessary documents (including Baptismal and Confirmation certificates). This is an opportunity to learn the clear distinctions about the laws of marriage, as well as to get to know other engaged couples.
