We will have coffee and donuts downstairs in the social hall following both the 8am & 10am Masses.
Catechism Classes Begin Today
All students attending Catechism classes should meet downstairs in the social hall at 9:15am. From there, students will be taken to their classroom by their teachers. Classes will dismiss at 9:45am.
Hand Missals For Sale
1962 Daily Hand Missals are available for purchase in the church office for $60. We will offer the Missal published in 2008 by Baronius Press in association with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.
Rosary Rally
On Saturday, October 12th, at 11:30am we will commemorate the 102nd Anniversary of Mary’s appearance at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. All will assemble in the front of St. Lawrence Church and process to Front Street for the recitation of the Rosary. After the Rosary there will be a sermon followed by Benediction in St. Lawrence. In case of inclement weather, all will take place inside the church.
October Sunday Afternoon Sports
For those interested, Fr. Killackey will be leading another Sunday Afternoon Sports at Wormleysburg Park (710 N River St.) on Sunday, Oct 13th starting at 12 noon. We will be playing ultimate frisbee this month. There is a pavilion area for those who just want to sit and relax. Transportation must be worked out on your own. Please email Fr. Young Ladies Tea
The Junior Sodality will be hosting a Young Ladies Tea on October 26th. Girls of the parish (ages 9 -18) are invited to this morning Tea at St. Lawrence with a talk from Fr Eichman. For more details or to RSVP, please contact Jill Lear at jilllear@hotmail.com.
Novena to the Mother of God
From this past Wednesday, October 2nd, until Thursday, October 10th, at the end of each Mass we will pray the Novena prayer to the Mother of God (Mater Dei), our Patroness. The prayer is found at the bottom of this bulletin. This novena is in preparation for the feast of The Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary on October 11th. Please take a bulletin home so that you can continue the novena when you are unable to attend Mass.
