Seminary Burse — 2nd Collection - Today there will be a second collection in support of the FSSP Seminary in Denton, Nebraska. To date we have raised $3,454 for the seminary.
Rosary for the Unborn - Following 8am Adoration and 9am Mass next Saturday, December 17, Fr Eichman will lead the Rosary in front of the Hillcrest abortuary, 2709 N. Front St. We pray there every 3rd Saturday of the month for the protection of the unborn. Please join us.
Update Membership Information - If you have moved, changed your contact information, or had a change in the members of your household since registering with Mater Dei, please send this information to the office before the end of the year so that we can update your records.
Stay Home if Sick - If you are sick and contagious, it is not necessary to come to Mass. In such instances, it is an act of charity toward your fellow parishioners, especially those more susceptible to illness, to remain at home.
Hand Missals For Sale - 1962 Daily Hand Missals are available for purchase in the church office for $55. The edition was published in 2008 by Baronius Press in association with the Fraternity of St. Peter.
Youth Group — Saturday Night! - Our next Youth Group event will be “Escape Night.” Join us in the social hall at St. Lawrence next Saturday, December 17, 6pm—9pm, for an evening of mystery, codes and puzzles. Father will also lead the Rosary and give a short talk. Remember to bring a snack and a friend! The Youth Group is for young people ages 13-18. Holy Name Society — Creche - Members of the Holy Name Society will be setting up the crèche after Mass on Saturday, December 17. A meeting to elect officer’s for 2017 will be held afterward. Please notify Joseph Yula if you are able to attend the meeting.
Adult Convert / Confirmation Class - On Tuesdays at 7pm we offer our Convert / Adult Confirmation class taught by Fr. Eichman. This class is held in the first classroom behind the Church. Enter via side alley door. Direct any questions to MaterDeiChaplain@gmail.com
Sunday Parking Reminder - We have permission to park behind the buildings located across the street from the church during evenings and weekends. The entrance to these parking spaces is by way of Academy Alley, which is directly behind these houses. It is the first alley immediately after State Street. These parking spaces can only be reached by turning left off Front Street. Please report any incident that might cause the owners concern, as we do not want to jeopardize the parking hospitality given to us from these generous property owners. Also remember, the parking lot along the side of St. Lawrence is not to be used.
Christmas Cards Novena of Masses - Christmas cards are now available in the back of the church to send to family and friends who you would like to have remembered at the Novena of Masses at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary from December 17th—25th. Please send the form in the enclosed envelope to the FSSP District House in Scranton. Proceeds benefit the formation of good holy priests.
Accepting Mass Intentions - We are now accepting Mass Intentions for 2017. Mass offering envelopes can be found on the cabinet in the vestibule. Note: for any Mass stipend received which is over $10, the excess amount is placed in the general fund.
