November 15, 2015

Coffee and Donuts - All are invited to the Social Hall today after the 10:00AM Mass for coffee and donuts. Access through door via the side alley.

Coffee Social Volunteers – Needed We are in need of volunteers to assist with the Coffee Social after the 10am Mass. If you are able to help please contact the church office at info@hbglatinmass.com or call us at (717) 889-4217.

December 4th - Friday Devotions Mass will be at 6:30pm. A Holy Hour of Exposition with Benediction and Confessions directly follows Mass.

Candlelight Rorate Mass – On the first Saturday of Advent, December 5th, we will have a special 6:00am Sung Mass. This Rorate Mass is lit only by candlelight. Because it is a votive Mass in Mary’s honor, white vestments are worn instead of Advent violet. In the dimly lit setting, we will prepare to honor the Light of the world, Who is soon to be born, and offer praise to God for the gift of Our Lady. As the Mass proceeds and sunrise approaches, the church becomes progressively brighter, illumined by the sun as our Faith is illumined by Christ

Pilgrimage to Mexico City - Fr. Federico Masutti FSSP of St. Anne in San Diego, CA is leading a bilingual pilgrimage to Mexico City from March 7 - 12, 2016. The highlight of the pilgrimage is a visit to the sanctuary of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe to see the tilma of St. Juan Diego, which has imprinted on it the miraculous image of Our Lady. If you are interested please take one of the registration forms from the back of the Church. For more information contact John or Natalie at (778) 655 - 0378.

Youth Group Event - Our next Youth Group event will be a bonfire on Saturday, November 21st from 6PM - 9PM. For more information please contact Forbecks@comcast.net.

New St. Tarcisius Group - We are starting a group for children ages 5 - 12 which will meet monthly in order to train the children to meditate from an early age. Each meeting will include a short, priest led meditation, the rosary, and a potluck dinner. Meetings will be the 1st Saturday of the month from 5-7pm. We will gather in a different host family’s home each month. For information concerning our December 5th meeting please contact us at SaintTarcisiusGroup@MaterDeiPA.com.

Corporal Works of Mercy - If any needy person approaches you at St. Lawrence requesting money or another type of material aid, please do not give them any. Instead, direct them to the Cathedral one block up the street towards the Capitol building. The Cathedral is equipped to assist the needy. We are not! Although it may seem the charitable thing to do, please realize that by giving aid to these individuals you are encouraging them to return and hence doing a disservice to your fellow parishioners and in particular the families who should be able to bring their young children here without hesitation. Thank you.
