Sunday Mass Schedule

Our Sunday Mass schedule is as follows:

  • 7:30am Low Mass
  • 9:00am Low Mass
  • 10:30 Low Mass
  • 12:00 Sung Mass (also livestreamed)
  • 6:00pm Low Mass

Registration opens at 6pm every Tuesday evening on our website. Mass times will not be changing in October.

Catechism Registration

Thank you to all families who have registered their children for our Catechism classes. If you did not receive an email from us this past week verifying that we have received your registration, please contact chaplainssecretary@materdeipa.com.

Adult Catechism Class

Fr. Killackey is offering an adult catechism class during the academic year on Monday evenings at 7pm. This class is primarily geared towards those wishing to become Catholic, but any adult wishing to know more about the Faith is welcome to join.  If interested, please contact Fr. Killackey at fr.killackey@materdeipa.com.

First Friday & Sung Compline

This Friday we will have our First Friday Devotion following the 6:30pm Mass. We will pray a novena and a Litany to the Sacred Heart of Jesus followed by Sung Compline with organ accompaniment.

Legion of Mary

For any new parishioners who are interested: Mater Dei has a Legion of Mary chapter that is not currently meeting. If you have interest in becoming a member or auxiliary member, please contact the office.

Rosary Rally

On Saturday, October 10th, at 11:30am we will commemorate the 103rd Anniversary of Mary’s appearance at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. All will assemble in the front of St. Lawrence Church and process to Front Street for the recitation of the Rosary. After the Rosary there will be a sermon followed by Benediction in St. Lawrence. In case of inclement weather, all will take place inside the church.

Sung Mass at 6pm Tonight

Tonight’s 6pm Mass will be Sung, following, Sung Vespers at 5:30pm.

Building Fund Collection

This week we will have our monthly Building Fund collection. Thank you for your continued generosity.

Registration at Mater Dei

The Chaplain and Assistant Chaplain have the special grace to guide those who are registered parishioners and are hence assigned to their care. The Mass offered for the people every Sunday, Pro Populo, is offered for those who are registered members. Anyone seeking the Sacraments of Baptism, 1st Communion, Confirmation and Matrimony here must be registered and active parishioners for 6 months. Registration forms are available in the back of church or on our website.

Latin Class

Matthew Dracoules, the Latin teacher at Trinity High School, is offering an introductory Latin class on Wednesdays at 6pm beginning October 7th. If you plan to attend and haven’t already let us know, please contact chaplainssecretary@materdeipa.com.

New Weekly Adoration Tuesdays

The church is now open for adoration from 8am-1pm on Tuesdays. If you are interested in adoration but can not commit to a weekly hour please consider signing up to be an alternate for our scheduled adorers. Please Contact Amanda Healy 717-847-4871.

Girls Sodality Fall Event

The next Girls Sodality event will be a fall gathering for cider & donuts on Saturday, October 10 from 2-4:30pm. Contact Jill Lear at

St. Tarcisius Meeting

The next St. Tarcisius meeting is Saturday, October 3, from 5-7pm. The group is for children ages 5 – 12 and meets monthly in order to train the children to meditate. Each meeting includes a short, priest led meditation, the rosary, and a potluck dinner. Meetings are the 1st Saturday of the month.
