Candlemas Schedule

This Tuesday, February 2nd, we will have a special Mass Schedule for the Feast of the Purification:

  • 7:10am – Low Mass
  • 7:00pm – Low Mass with Blessing of Candles and Procession

The annual blessing of candles and procession will take place before the evening Mass only. We will bless the candles which will be used throughout the entire liturgical year. You are encouraged to bring your own candles that you will use for personal devotions to be blessed as well. Candles can be brought on Tuesday evening prior to the Mass (arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to Mass). Be sure to label candles with your name.

Women’s Evenings of Recollection

On Tuesday, February 9, there will be a Women's Evening of Recollection. The evening will begin with Mass at 6pm, a spiritual conference, approximately 30 minutes for social time, and a Holy Hour of Simple Adoration with Confessions. The evening will end at 9pm. All women ages 18 and up are welcome. No registration is necessary. These evenings will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of most months beginning In Februaru. Contact the office with questions.

Lost & Found

We have removed the small "Lost and Found" box from the vestibule. It is now in the social hall in the basement. Lost items of higher value such as Hand Missals will be kept in the sacristy until claimed. We are doing this in an effort to keep the vestibule clean from clutter. Also, please do not use this space to give away free items. This includes holy cards, religious books, food and clothing items. Thank you!

Latin Class Break

We will not continue the Latin Class which was being taught by Mr Dracoules this spring. The class may resume again the coming summer or next fall.

Sacramentals for Expectant Mothers

There are certain Sacramentals in the Roman Ritual through which we request God’s blessing that an expecting mother can have a safe delivery and also the grace of having her child baptized. The priests would be happy to provide the following to any expecting lady at her request. Please do not hesitate to ask.

  • Blessing of Expectant Mother: Can be given at any time during pregnancy.
  • Candle in Honor of St. Raymond Nonnatus: To be taken home and burned, and especially when the time of delivery approaches.
  • St. Torellus Water: Special Holy Water which can be sprinkled, used to bless oneself, drunk, or used in small amounts in cooking.
