Second Sunday after Pentecost

New Bathroom Installation

A second bathroom is being installed in the back of the church. The project should be completed by mid-June. Bathrooms in the school building will be accessible through the courtyard during Mass.

Father’s Day Novena

Our Father’s Day novena of Masses will begin next Sunday, June 21st. You can drop off your intentions and pick up your Father’s Day cards from the office.

St. Jude Devotion

This Wednesday, June 17, we will have our monthly St. Jude Devotion.

  • 6pm Simple Adoration
  • 7pm Low Mass
  • Following Mass: Devotion prayers & veneration of relic

June Sunday Afternoon Sports

We will be restarting Sunday Afternoon Sports this month for those who are interested.  We will play Ultimate Frisbee at Wormleysburg Park (just over the river via the Harvey Tailor Bridge) on Sunday, June 21.  It will start at 1:30pm (after our 12noon Mass).  There is a pavilion area for those who just want to sit and relax; and this park is also in Cumberland County, which will be in the green phase by then, allowing for bigger social gatherings.  Transportation must be worked out on your own.  Please email Fr. Sung Mass for the Feast of the Sacred Heart

The 6:30pm Mass on Friday, June 19th will be a Sung Mass for the Feast of the Sacred Heart.

Reminder: June 29 Confraternity Indulgence

A plenary indulgence is granted under the usual conditions to the members of the Confraternity of St. Peter on the day of their admission and each February 22 and June 29.

Prolife Rosary

Following Mass this Saturday morning we will have our prolife rosary. Please join us in pray-ing for the protection of life.

Modified Sunday Mass Schedule

Until further notice, we will be implementing a modified Sunday Mass schedule

  • 7:30am Low Mass
  • 9:30am Chant Mass
  • 12:00pm Low Mass with hymns
  • 6:00pm Low Mass

The 9:30am Mass will also be livestreamed. All of our regularly scheduled daily Masses and devotions have resumed for public attendance  as well.

Seminarian Brian Myers

For the month of June we will have Brian Myers, a FSSP seminarian, here to assist us. Brian will be entering his fourth year at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Nebraska this fall. We are very thankful to have him with us

Diocesan Annual Campaign—Update

Our Diocesan Assessment this year is $14,630. Mater Dei must cover this amount. Anything in excess remains with Mater Dei. If you did not receive a pledge card in the mail please contact the office and we will send one to you. Thank you for your kindness towards Mater Dei!

Silence of Mary

If you are interested in giving food to assist Silence of Mary, there will be a drop off taking place at the church from 11am-12pm on Saturdays. They always have needs, but much more so when the children are out of school. Contact Chris Keifer by email at cp3k@comcast.net with any questions.

Prayer in the Time of Epidemics

We will no longer be publicly reciting the prayer in the time of epidemics after Mass, but the prayer is available on our website if you wish to continue praying it privately.

No Chant Camp this Summer

We will not be holding our chant camp this summer.  If you’re interested in attending a chant camp here at Mater Dei in the future, feel free to contact the office.

Ave Maria Rosary Book
