We're seeking a Soprano, initially to sing in a physically distanced quartet, transitioning to a traditional section leader role for our mixed choir when conditions allow. Qualified candidates will have prior choral experience with 4+ part music, familiarity with Gregorian Chant and Renaissance Polyphony, ability to sing with pure tone and accurate intonation, a passion for traditional sacred music, & leadership aptitude. This is a paid position. For more details email music@materdeipa.com.

Cleaning Updates

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has stayed to clean after Masses! It is very much appreciated since “many hands make light work.”

  • If anyone is interested in giving just 1 hour of their time once a month to help clean the rest of the church building, the Second Saturday of each month is in most need of extra volunteers.
  • If regular commitment doesn’t work for you but you can help out occasionally as your schedule permits, please consider joining our substitute list! The work can be tailored to your tastes and abilities – no heavy lifting required. Even if you can only give a few minutes, every bit helps so please consider signing up.

If interested or if you have any questions, please contact Sara Sides, clean@materdei-pa.com. Thank you!

Free Meter Parking on Saturdays

By downloading the Parkmobile App, users can receive four hours of free parking on Saturdays anywhere in Harrisburg by using the code “LUVHBG.”  If this option doesn’t show up, try deleting & reinstalling the App.

New Young Adult Parishioners

If you are one of our new young adult parishioners (18-35) send your email to the office so that we can keep you in the loop about upcoming events.
