First Sunday of Lent

Stations of the Cross

Our Friday evening schedule during Lent will be adjusted to include Stations of the Cross.

  • 5pm— Simple Adoration
  • 6pm—Stations of the Cross
  • 6:30pm—Low Mass

Young Adult Group Monthly Brunches and Bible Study

For any young adults (18-35) interested, the Mater Dei Young Adult Group meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month for brunch at the Squeaky Rail Diner (505 N Enola Rd, Enola, PA 17025)  around 1:40pm (after the noon Mass).  Also, any young adult of the parish is welcome to join a monthly virtual Genesis Bible study hosted by Fr. Killackey through Zoom.  These sessions meet on the 3rd Friday of each month from 8:15-9:00pm.  For more information, please email Fr. Killackey at fr.killackey@mater-deipa.com.

St. Jude Devotion

This Wednesday, February 24, we will have our monthly St. Jude devotion

  • 6pm—Simple Adoration
  • 7pm—Low Mass
  • Following Mass—Devotion prayers & Veneration of St. Jude relic

Tax Letters Sent

Tax letters with giving information for 2020 were sent out to parishioners on Friday, February 6. If you need one but haven’t received it, contact the office. Keep in mind the postal service is running behind.

Men & Women’s Lenten Recollections

We will offer two morning recollections during Lent:

  • Men’s Recollection—March 13
  • Women’s Recollection—March 20

Each recollection will run from 7:30am-12pm and will include Adoration & Mass, two conferences given by Fr Killackey, Confessions, Stations of the Cross, and time for silent prayer. The retreat is open to adults 18 or older and the suggested donation amount is $10. If anyone under 18 would like to attend please contact the office. Registration for both recollections is open until Monday, March 1 at 10am. To register, email chaplainssecretary@MaterDeiPA.com.

COURTESY ANNOUNCEMENT

SAHM Foundation- Opportunity for Financial Support

We were recently approached by the SAHM Foundation (Stay At Home Mothers). They are a foundation established to give financial support to young families. They are looking for:

  • Married families with at least three children.
  • At least one child under the age of six.
  • The mother has chosen to postpone working outside the home in order to raise her children.
  • Income levels will depend on the number of children living in the home.

Plenary Indulgence for Members of FSSP Confraternity

A plenary indulgence is granted under the usual conditions to the members of the Confraternity of St. Peter on the feast of the Chair of St Peter which is this coming Monday, February 22nd.

Choir Open to New Members

While there are some limitations on our choirs’ current freedom to sing, we are in fact looking for new choir members. If you are interested in joining our men’s schola or the mixed choir, please contact Music Director Paul May at Music@MaterDeiPA.com.
