First Sunday of Lent

Coffee & Donuts

We will have coffee and donuts downstairs in the social hall following the 10am Mass.

Talks on Shroud of Turin

On Fridays, March 20 & 27, Mater Dei Youth Group will host a soup and bread dinner in the social hall after Stations of the Cross and Mass. After dinner, Fr Killackey will give a 30 minute talk about the Shroud of Turin. All parishioners are invited and encouraged to attend.

St. Tarcisius Meeting

Our next St. Tarcisius meeting is Saturday, March, 7 from 5-7pm. The group is for children ages 5 – 12 and meets monthly in order to train the children to meditate. Each meeting includes a short, priest led meditation, the rosary, and a potluck dinner. Meetings are the 1st Saturday of the month. First Friday Devotion

This Friday we will have our First Friday Devotion following the 6:30pm Mass. We will pray a novena and a Litany to the Sacred Heart of Jesus followed by Sung Compline with organ accompaniment.

Stations of the Cross

Stations of the Cross will be every Friday of Lent.

  • 5:00pm - Simple Adoration
  • 6:00pm - Stations of the Cross
  • 6:30pm - Low Mass

Meal Train

If you are interested in helping with our parish meal train by cooking occasionally or know someone who needs help, please e-mail Alyssa Showers at pianoteacher87@gmail.com.

Men & Women’s Lenten Recollections

We will offer two morning recollections during Lent:

  • Men’s Recollection – March 7
  • Women’s Recollection – March 14

Each recollection will run from 7:30am-12pm and will include Adoration & Mass,  two conferences given by Fr Eichman, Confessions, Stations of the Cross, and time for silent prayer. The retreat is open to adults 18 or older and the suggested donation amount is $10. If anyone under 18 would like to attend please contact the office. Registration for both recollections is open until this Monday, March 2 at 8pm. To register, email chaplainssecretary@MaterDeiPA.com and more details about the recollection will be sent to you.
