We will have coffee and donuts downstairs in the social hall following the 10am Mass.

Building Fund Collection

Today we will have a second collection for the Building Fund. Your continued generosity is greatly appreciated as we first pay off the rectory and then begin to address our most critical future needs.

Parish Cookout Today

Please join us for our parish potluck cookout today following the 10am Mass. Hamburgers and bratwursts will be provided.

Sung Vespers Tonight

We will have Sung Vespers with organ accompaniment and Exposition with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament tonight from 5:30pm–6:30pm. Sheets will be provided for all to follow along.

Catechism Classes — Meeting Next Sunday

A mandatory parent meeting will be held on Sunday, September 29th at 9:15am.  The first day of classes will be on October 6th.  All students must be  registered parishioners of Mater Dei. To register for classes contact Meghan Walters at waltfamily1@gmail.com.

Mater Dei Legion of Mary Informational Meeting

On Sunday September 29th, 2019 following the 10 am Mass in Classroom 1 there will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in becoming a Legion of Mary member and learning about the spirituality and commitment it involves. Nancy Hudock who has been an active member in the Legion of Mary for 27 years and who currently helps parishes in the diocese of Harrisburg to establish their new presidium (parish level group) will present and answer questions.   All are welcome to attend.

Rosary Rally

On Saturday, October 12th, at 11:30AM we will commemorate the 102nd Anniversary of Mary’s appearance at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. All will assemble in the front of St. Lawrence Church and process to Front Street for the recitation of the Rosary. After the Rosary there will be a sermon followed by Benediction in St. Lawrence. In case of inclement weather, all will take place inside the church.

FSSP Ordination Invitation

Rev. Mr. William G. Rock, a Deacon of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, is to be ordained to the Holy Priesthood on Saturday, October 26, 2019, by His Excellency Athanasius Schneider at St. Mary’s Church in Providence, Rhode Island. Rev. Mr. Rock, along with the pastor of St. Mary’s, Fr. Winter Pilgrimage to Italy with Fr. Gismondi

Morning Star Clinic — Hiring

Morning Star Clinics is seeking P/T educator to teach a program in Dauphin / Cumberland Counties that empowers teens to make healthy decisions regarding relationships, and risk behaviors. Training in the nationally recognized REAL Essentials curriculum is provided. The ability to relate to youth and an engaging speaking style are required. Lourdeshouse Baby Item Collection

Lourdeshouse is the diocesan home for unwed mothers, who need assistance during and after pregnancy. During the month of October, Respect Life month, we will have a laundry hamper in the vestibule to collect items needed for Lourdeshouse. The following items are needed:  new and nearly new baby winter sleepers; sizes 3 and 4 diapers;  baby lotion and baby wash; baby socks, bibs and receiving blankets.  No food please.  To donate large items such as cribs, car seats, high chairs or strollers, please call April at 717-412-4865. For any questions regarding the collection, please contact Chris at 717-432-5415. Thank you for your support and generosity.
