Sunday Mass Schedule

Our Sunday Mass schedule is as follows:

  • 7:30am Low Mass
  • 9:00am Low Mass
  • 10:30 Low Mass
  • 12:00 Sung Mass (also livestreamed)
  • 6:00pm Low Mass

Registration opens at 6pm every Tuesday evening on our website. Mass times will not be changing in October.

Catechism Registration

Thank you to all families who have registered their children for our Catechism classes. If you did not receive an email about picking up packets for your children, please contact chaplainssecretary@materdeipa.com

Adult Catechism Class

Fr. Killackey is offering an adult catechism class during the academic year on Monday evenings at 7pm. This class is primarily geared towards those wishing to become Catholic, but any adult wishing to know more about the Faith is welcome to join.  If interested, please contact Fr. Killackey at fr.killackey@materdeipa.com.

Legion of Mary

For any new parishioners who are interested: Mater Dei has a Legion of Mary chapter that is not currently meeting. If you have interest in becoming a member or auxiliary member, please contact the office.

Rosary Rally

On Saturday, October 10th, at 11:30am we will commemorate the 103rd Anniversary of Mary’s appearance at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. All will assemble in the front of St. Lawrence Church and process to Front Street for the recitation of the Rosary. After the Rosary there will be a sermon followed by Benediction in St. Lawrence. In case of inclement weather, all will take place inside the church.

If you are not on our parish wide email list and wish to be, email ChaplainsSecretary@MaterDeiPA.com to be added.

Registration at Mater Dei

The Chaplain and Assistant Chaplain have the special grace to guide those who are registered parishioners and are hence assigned to their care. The Mass offered for the people every Sunday, Pro Populo, is offered for those who are registered members. Anyone seeking the Sacraments of Baptism, 1st Communion, Confirmation and Matrimony here must be registered and active parishioners for 6 months. Registration forms are available in the back of church or on our website.

Latin Class

Matthew Dracoules, the Latin teacher at Trinity High School, is offering an introductory Latin class on Wednesdays at 6pm beginning October 7th. If you plan to attend and haven’t already let us know, please contact chaplainssecretary@materdeipa.com.

New Weekly Adoration Tuesdays

The church is now open for adoration from 8am-1pm on Tuesdays. If you are interested in adoration but can not commit to a weekly hour please consider signing up to be an alternate for our scheduled adorers. Please Contact Amanda Healy 717-847-4871.

Sacramentals for Expectant Mothers

There are certain Sacramentals in the Roman Ritual through which we request God’s blessing that an expecting mother can have a safe delivery and also the grace of having her child baptized.  The priests would be happy to provide the following to any expecting lady at her request.  Please do not hesitate to ask.

  • Blessing of Expectant Mother: Can be given at any time during pregnancy.
  • Candle in Honor of St. Raymond Nonnatus: To be taken home and burned, and especially when the time of delivery approaches.
  • St. Torellus Water: Special Holy Water which can be sprinkled, used to bless oneself, drunk, or used in small amounts in cooking.

Girls Sodality Fall Event

The next Girls Sodality event will be a fall gathering for cider & donuts on Saturday, October 10 from 2-4:30pm. Contact Jill Lear at Jilllear@-hotmail.com for further details.

Youth Group Event

The next Youth Group event will be held on October 17th from 6-9pm. Email forbec-ks@comcast.net for more information.

All Saints Day Celebration

There will be an All Saints Day party on Saturday, November 1, 2020. If you have not received an email with details, and might like to attend, please contact the office for more information.
