Music Rehearsals This Week - The new schola and mixed choir will rehearse every Thursday evening from 6:30-8:00pm. Men in the schola should arrive by 6:30pm, while women in the mixed choir should arrive by 7:00pm. The second rehearsal is this Thursday and is an OPEN rehearsal. Anyone with an interest is welcome to attend, even if you are not sure about a longer term commitment. Come give it a try, no strings attached! Vocations from Mater Dei - Please keep in your prayers the three young men from Mater Dei currently in formation for the sacred priesthood: Br. Ivan Ruiz IVE, James Kuniega (FSSP) & Gabriel Wertz (FSSP).

Catechism Class Registration - Our Children’s Catechism registration will be on Sunday, September 17 following both Masses.  Information  concerning the program will be available the Sunday before.  Children must be registered members of Mater Dei to enroll.  The Cost is $45 for the first child and $20 for additional.  A mandatory parent meeting will be on October 8 between the Masses and first day of classes October 15.  Please note that the Confirmation class is a 2-year program.  This will be year one.  If your child will be of age to be Confirmed in 2019, they should enroll in this falls class.

Caeli Academy - Information Session - Anyone interested is invited to learn more about RCA's hybrid, two-day-a-week, classical homeschool program in the Catholic tradition on Saturday, September 30, 7-9pm at Mary Mother of the Church, 625 Union School Rd, Mount Joy, PA 17552. A presentation about RCA's mission of "Training the Mind to Form the Soul" will be offered by Co-Founder and Executive Director, Kari Beckman to prospective parents and a Q&A will follow.  All who are interested in RCA are welcome to come and learn how RCA may benefit their family.  For more information, please see the website and view video at: www.rcahybrid.org. Young Adult Group Next Meeting - Our next gathering is on Friday, September 8th, for the 6:30pm Mass followed by pizza and board games in the social hall downstairs. Please bring a beverage a donation for pizza, and a game if you would like.  We have a new Facebook group: Mater Dei Harrisburg Young Adult Group, where this information will be posted.  Adult Convert / Adult Confirmation - Begins September 28 - Any adults interested in coming into the Catholic Church or receiving Confirmation and for those interested in brushing up on their Faith; Adult Catechism classes will begin on Thursday, September 28th at 7pm in a classroom.  Please contact Fr. Franco at ext. 3 to sign up or for more information.

 Hurricane Harvey - Emergency Collection - A special collection will be held today for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.  This is a part of the U.S. Catholic Bishops emergency collection to assist the millions of persons affected by this catastrophe.  This includes the humanitarian and recovery efforts of Catholic Charities USA and pastoral and rebuilding support to the impacted dioceses.

Fall - Men’s Recollection - The Holy Name Society will be sponsoring a Men’s Morning of Recollection given by Fr. Saguto FSSP on Saturday, October 7, 2017.  The Morning of Recollection will be open to all men including non-parishioners and will include a conference by Fr. Saguto, time for adoration and confessions, and a Rosary walk.
