Feast of the Assumption—Aug 15 - On Monday, August 15, is the Feast of the Assumption.  Although normally a Holy Day of Obligation, it is not this year.  However, we will have an additional Mass in the evening.  Our Mass schedule for August 15 will be as follows:

Rosary for the Unborn - Following the 8AM Adoration and 9AM Mass on Saturday, August 20, you are welcome to pray the Rosary in front of Hillcrest abortuary at 2709 N. Confessions—Only One Priest on Sundays - Beginning in September, there will only be one priest at Mater Dei until next summer.  It will be difficult on Sundays for many Confessions to be heard as confessions will only be heard until 10 minutes prior to each Mass.  However, confessions are available prior to Mass every day of the week.  Please take advantage of these opportunities.

Friday Evening Mass Schedule - Because the Friday classes offered for children will no longer be in the afternoon, we are considering switching our Friday evening schedule so that Simple Adoration precedes Mass.  The schedule would be as follows:

Current Schedule:

Proposed Schedule:

  • 5:30: Holy Hour
  • 6:30: Low Mass
