New - Meal Train - Calling all those who want to grow in love of neighbor! We are starting a meal train for those in our parish who need meals - new mommas, those in an emergency, etc. If you are interested in helping cook occasionally or know someone who needs help, please e-mail Alyssa Showers at pianoteacher87@gmail.com

Vespers & Benediction - Vespers and Adoration will be tonight, July 23, at 5:30pm.  Vespers will be recited recto tono.

St. Tarcisius Meeting - The next St. Tarcisius Meeting will be on Saturday, August 5th at 5pm.  The St. Tarcisius group is for children ages 5 - 12 to learn how to meditate.  They are guided through a short meditation by Fr. Franco.  Contact Jill Lear for information by emailing her at SaintTarcisiusGroup@MaterDeiPA.com

Feast of St. Lawrence - Summer Picnic - Our summer picnic is on Sunday, August 6th, at Siebert Park in Camp Hill following the 10AM Mass for the external Solemnity of St. Lawrence.  Hamburgers & hotdogs will be provided.  Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.  We need volunteers for set-up and for clean-up.   Opportunities are still available (see table below).  Signup sheets are in the back of church.

Young Adults - Brunch - Our Young Adult Group will be meeting for brunch at a nearby restaurant following the 10am Mass next Sunday, July 30.  The brunch is open to all young adults between 18-35.  For information about the location e-mail Brittany Stewart at Bvasilak816@gmail.com

Co-Op Classes & Choristers - This academic year Mater Dei will offer Friday morning classes and our new Chorister program for children including a separate chant course for older boys. Registration will take place next Sunday, July 30th, after both Masses.  For a detailed schedule of the classes and Chorister program contact  Dawn Forbeck at forbecks@comcast.net.  To cover the cost of materials there will be a nominal registration fee for Choristers.

New Cross Country Running Club - Participation is open to all children of Mater Dei age 8 through high school. An informational meeting will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 after the 9:00am Mass.  The running club will be coached by Bill Fonticoba and Jonathan Healy.  Practices will take place on Saturday mornings following 9:00am Mass and Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00 pm beginning August 26 at Siebert Park in Camp Hill.  Registration will be held on July 30th.

Children Supervision - Parents with children please note: the upper floor of the school building is off limits to all except for students while attending their catechism class on that floor.  Also, while we strive to make the church a safe environment for children, we are in the midst of a busy city with transients frequently walking down the street and alleys surrounding St. Lawrence.  Do not leave your young children unsupervised, either inside the church/school building or outside.  Recently, children have been seen roaming the school building without adult supervision, and young children have been seen walking down the alley to and from the coffee social without the accompaniment of an adult (or responsible older sibling).  Direct any questions to Fr. Eichman.

Online Giving Now Available - You can now donate to Mater Dei online.  Go to our homepage at MaterDeiPA.com and click on “Donate.”  This is a very  easy and convenient way to make your weekly contributions.  You can make one time gifts or set up recurring gifts.
