Coffee and Donuts

There will be coffee and donuts after the 10AM Mass today.  Please join us.

 Coffee Social Volunteers Needed - Volunteers are needed to help with clean up after the coffee social.  Our goal is to place volunteers on a bimonthly schedule.  Obligations include: washing off tables, removing trash, sweeping & mopping the floor.  Clean-up should begin around 12:15pm and is usually finished by 12:45pm.  A sign-up sheet is out in the back of church today.

Seminary Burse Collection - There will be a second collection today for Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, the FSSP seminary in Denton, Nebraska.  Checks should be made out to “Mater Dei Community.”  A “Seminary Burse” envelope is now included with the offering envelopes which you receive.

Youth Group  -  This Saturday - Our next Youth Group will be on Saturday, February 18, 2017, 6:00 - 9:00pm.  Join us for an exciting Catholic Trivia Competition.  Please bring a snack to share and a friend!  For more information contact us at YouthGroup@MaterDeiPA.com

Rosary at Abortuary - This Saturday, February 18, following the 9:00am Mass, we will  pray the Rosary and Litany to the Sacred Heart in front of the Hillcrest abortuary, 2709 N. Front St. in Harrisburg.

Adult Convert / Confirmation Class - Our next class will be on Tuesday, February 14th at 7pm.  Access via the alley door on Buttonwood St.

Visiting Priest Next Sunday - There will be a visiting priest available to help with Mass and Confessions next Sunday.

1st Communion Class - Anyone with a child who is preparing to make their First Confession and First Holy Communion this spring whose child is not enrolled in our Catechism Class must contact Fr. Eichman this week.

 Msgr. Fregapane - R.I.P. - Monsignor Fregapane passed away on January 12, 2017.  From 1995 through 2002 he offered the Latin Mass once a month at Trinity High School, and he assisted Mater Dei by offering the Tuesday morning Mass from 2006 through 2008.  We are indebted to Monsignor for his generosity over so many year.  May he rest in peace.

  • Collin Forbeck and Andrea Suttin plan to be married on June 17, 2017.

Mater Dei Lenten Recollection  - March 10 - 12. Fr. Saguto FSSP, North American District Superior, will give a weekend spiritual recollection at St. Lawrence March 10 - 12.  All parishioners are strongly encouraged to clear their calendars for the weekend.  This will be a excellent preparation for a holy and fruitful Lent.

  • 8:00am: Low Mass (Final sermon by Fr. Saguto)
  • 10:00am: Sung Mass (Final sermon by Fr. Saguto)

*Guest Choir - The Saturday 9:00am Mass will be a Polyphonic Mass sung by a visiting choir from our FSSP apostolate in Scranton.  We are grateful to them for accepting the invitation to sing this Mass.
