Coffee & Donuts - All are welcome for Coffee & Donuts in the Social Hall following the 10am Mass today.

Catechism Classes - Our Catechism classes will resume this fall in October., with registration in September.

Fall - Men’s Recollection - A Men’s Morning of Recollection will be given by Fr. Saguto FSSP on Saturday, October 7, 2017.  The Morning of Recollection will be open to all men including non-parishioners.

St. Tarcisius Meeting - Our next St. Tarcisius Meeting is Saturday, September 2nd at 5pm.  The group is for children ages 5 – 12 and meets monthly in order to train the children to meditate.  Each meeting includes a short, priest led meditation, the rosary, and a potluck dinner.  Meetings are the 1st Saturday of the month from 5-7pm.  We gather in a different host family’s home each month.  For more information about our next meeting contact us at SaintTarcisiusGroup@MaterDeiPA.com

Homebound Parishioners - If you are homebound or know a parishioner who is and would like to be visited on occasion, please consider contacting the Holy Name Society.  As a part of their work for Mater Dei, members visit shut-ins and would gladly visit and pray with any homebound parishioner.  Contact Anthony DiSanto at disantoa@mac.com

Vespers & Benediction - Vespers and Exposition with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament will be next Sunday from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.  Vespers will be recited recto tono.  Sheets will be provided for all to follow along.  We have Vespers every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.

 Food for Needy  - In the basket behind the last pew, the Holy Name Society collects non-perishable food for the Silence of Mary homes.  Our weekly contribution makes a real difference for those living in these homes. If you are looking for a way to help the hungry, please consider giving in this way.

Men’s Schola and Mixed Choir Opportunities - We are looking to add new voices to our schola and to build a mixed choir.  Prior experience is welcome, but not necessary.  If you are interested in joining contact Patrick Torsell at Music@MaterDeiPA.com  Our first Sung Mass for this Fall will be on Sunday, September 10.

YAG - Fall Events - For the fall, the young adult group (ages 18-35) will be  increasing our events to twice per month.

  • Saturday August 26th, we will meet at Adam Ricci Park at 2pm for soccer and/or volleyball; bring your own water.
  • Friday, September 8th, 6:30pm Mass. We will proceed downstairs for pizza and board games.  Please bring a beverage and a donation for pizza, and a game if you would like.

Holy Land Pilgrimage With Fr. Franco - Fr. Hand Missals For Sale - 1962 Daily Hand Missal are available for purchase in the church office for $60.  We will offer the Missal published in 2008 by Baronius Press in association with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.

Sacramentals for Expectant Mothers - There are certain Sacramentals in the Roman Ritual through which we request God’s blessing that an expecting mother can have a safe delivery and also the grace of having her child baptized.  The priests would be happy to provide the following to any expecting lady at her request.  Please do not hesitate to ask.

  • Blessing of Expectant Mother

Can be given at any time during pregnancy.

  • Candle in Honor of St. Raymond Nonnatus

To be taken home and burned, and especially when the time of delivery approaches.

  • St. Torellus Water

Special Holy Water which can be sprinkled, used to bless oneself, drunk, or used in small amounts in cooking.
