9th Sunday after Pentecost

Coffee & Donuts - Join us after the 8am and  10am Masses today for Coffee and Donuts in the Social Hall in the basement of the School Building.

Solemn High Mass Today - Today’s 10am Mass will be a Solemn High Mass sung by the participants in yesterday’s chant workshop.  The rest of the summer’s 10am Masses will be Low Masses with hymns except for the August 5th Mass in celebration of the Feast of St. Lawrence.

Sung Vespers Tonight - Tonight we will have Sung Vespers followed by benediction from 5:30pm—6:30pm.  Vespers will be more solemn than usual including organ and servers.

Building Fund - Today there will be a second collection for our Building Fund.  The loan on our new rectory is currently $71,000.  Thank you for your generosity.

Servers Trip to Washington - Knights of the Altar who hope to join our outing to Washington D.C. this Friday who have not yet confirmed should contact Jack Rozman as soon as possible at Jrozman@pa.gov

Chant Camp Week—8am Morning Masses - During the week of July 29, we will have an extra 8am Mass each weekday except Wednesday for those attending the Chant Camp.  These Masses are open to non-campers as well.  The Tuesday 8am Mass will be a Sung Mass.

Homeschool Co-op this Fall - We are currently planning the fall semester of our homeschool co-op.  This will be the fourth year of our co-op and the second consecutive year that it will include the chorister program. If you are interested in joining the program for the first time please contact the office at contact@MaterDeiPA.com

Youth Group Luncheon Concert - Teenagers (ages 13-18) are invited to attend/perform in our Youth Group Concert and luncheon today, July 22nd from 1pm—4pm.  For location and details speak to a priest after Mass.

Solemn High Mass & Parish Picnic, Feast of St. Lawrence - Our parish summer picnic will be at Adam Ricci park on Sunday, August 5, following the 10am Solemn High Mass.  Both an attendance sign-up sheet and a volunteer sign-up sheet are in the back of church.

Summer Music Conferences

In conjunction with our children’s Chant Camp, Rick Wheeler, the music director of our FSSP parish in Denver will be offering two conferences for adults the week of July 30.  The conferences will be held in the Social Hall and are open to all.

Sacred Music History

Tuesday, 7/31 at 7pm. The History Conference is a journey through 1200 years of Catholic liturgical history covering the changes and styles of music used in the liturgy over that time.

Vocal Pedagogy

Thursday, 8/2 at 7pm. The pedagogy conference is a scientific examination of the voice and how it works when speaking or singing. Amateur and professional singers alike have found this course to benefit them, and the science is fascinating for anyone, singer or not!

Refreshments will be provided both evenings.
