Congratulations First Communicants

Today our First Communicants will be receiving their First Holy Communion at the 12pm Mass. Please keep them in your prayers!

May Crowning

On Sunday, May 9, the noon Mass will begin with a May Crowning. Children who would like to join the procession should report to the group gathering beside the church in the alley at 11:45am.

Mater Dei Chant Camp

This summer’s Chant Camp under the direction of Music Director Paul May is scheduled for July 12-16. Registration for parishioners begins May 16. Registration for non-parishioners opens June 1 (if space is still available). The first four days will be spent in learning and preparing the sacred music for an 11am Sung Mass on the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Lunch and sports / games at Wormlesburg Park. Other instructors will include Fr Killackey and a seminarian from Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary.

High School Graduation Mass & Commencement

Our annual Baccalaureate Mass will take place on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 6:30 pm. This year we will host a graduation ceremony and reception on the following morning, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00am at Adam Ricci Park, East Pennsboro. We are honored to have Michael Ciccocioppo, Executive Director of Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation as keynote speaker. To register your graduate or to request more information concerning these events, please email forbecks@comcast.net.

Legion of Mary

Thanks to renewed interest, our Legion of Mary will be meeting again starting this Tuesday at 7pm. Anyone 18 or older is welcome to attend.

Mother’s Day Carnations

On Mother’s Day, the Junior Sodality will have carnations available after all Masses except the 6pm. Donations will be gladly accepted. All proceeds will be given to the Pro-Life group, Pennsylvanians for Human Life.

Help Needed Painting

We are re-painting several large spaces in the school building and are looking for help. Basic painting skill are all that is required. You do not have to be a professional. We are short on help so please give this a little serious consideration. Thank you!

Solemn High Mass and First Blessings

Deacon John Audino, FSSP, will be ordained to the priesthood on May 28. We are excited and blessed to have him here on Monday, June 7, to offer a Solemn High Mass at 7pm. Following Mass, he will give first blessings. He is one of five deacons from Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary being ordained this spring.

Hand Missals for Sale

1962 Daily Hand Missals are once again available for purchase in the church office for $60.  We offer the Missal published in 2008 by Baronius Press in association with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.

First Friday & Sung Compline

This Friday we will have our First Friday Devotion following the 6:30pm Mass. We will pray a novena and a Litany to the Sacred Heart of Jesus followed by Sung Compline.

Easter Duty

Every Catholic has the obligation to receive Communion at least once per year during Eastertide which continues through Trinity Sunday. In addition every Catholic is required to go to confession at least once per year.

Young Adult Group Brunch and Genesis Bible Study

Young Adults (age 18-35) are invited to have brunch together at the Squeaky Rail Diner (505 N Enola Rd, Enola, PA 17025-2129) starting around 1:40pm.  Though we normally meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month, we will meet on the 3rd Sunday this month (May 16).  Also, we will have our last Young Adult Genesis Bible Study after the 6:30pm evening Mass on Friday, May 21, starting at 7:30pm. Though we have met virtually through Zoom over the past few months, we will meet in person for this last session in Classroom 1.  You are still welcome to come even if you have not participated in our prior Genesis Bible Studies.  For questions on any of these events, please email Fr.
