Anniversary of the Consecration of St. Lawrence Church - External Solemnity Today

Today our 10:30am and 12 noon Masses will be taken from the Mass on the anniversary of the dedication of a church. The actual anniversary of the Consecration of St. Lawrence is this Tuesday, April 20. But we are permitted to celebration this anniversary today for the benefit of the faithful.

Mother’s Day Novena

The Mother’s Day cards are available for the Mother’s Day Novena of Masses which will be offered May 9th – May 17th. Please fill and place your cards into the collection basket by May 2nd.

St. Jude Devotion

This Wednesday, April 21, we will have our monthly St. Jude devotion.

  • 6pm Simple Adoration
  • 7pm Low Mass
  • Following Mass: Devotion prayers & Veneration of St. Jude relic.

Hand Missals for Sale

1962 Daily Hand Missals are once again available for purchase in the church office for $60.  We offer the Missal published in 2008 by Baronius Press in association with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.

Diocesan Annual Campaign

Pledge cards for the Diocesan Annual Campaign have been removed from the back of church. But we are still slightly below our goal that we must cover. You can donate for Mater Dei online at: www.hbgdiocese.org/diocesan-annual-campaign/donate/

Young Adult Group Monthly Brunches and Bible Study

For any young adults (18-35) interested, the Mater Dei Young Adult Group will meet today for brunch at the Squeaky Rail Diner (505 N Enola Rd, Enola, PA 17025)  around 1:40pm (after the noon Mass). Also, any young adult of the parish is welcome to join a monthly virtual Genesis Bible study hosted by Fr. Sunday Sports

For any families interested, Fr. Killackey will be leading a rotation of different sports on Sundays starting at 12:30pm over at Wormleysburg Park across the river (address: 744 -798 N River St, Wormleysburg, PA 1704). Donations Needed for Interfaith Shelter for Homeless Families

Interfaith Shelter for Homeless Families (a Catholic Charities residential program in suburban Harrisburg) is in need of the following donations: ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, kidney beans (15.5 ounce cans), paper plates/cups/bowls (no Styrofoam please), laundry detergents/bleach/dryer sheets, body lotion, non-contact infrared thermometers, and disposable masks. Donations can be taken to the Diocesan Center (4800 Union Deposit Rd.) or to the shelter (120 Willow Rd.) in Harrisburg. Please call in advance if bringing items to the shelter: 717-652-8740.
