Saint Tarcisius Meeting - Our next St. Tarcisius Meeting is Saturday, October 6 at 5:00pm. The group is for children ages 5 – 12 and meets monthly in order to train the children to meditate according to the Ignatian method. Meetings are the 1st Saturday of the month from 5-7pm. Deacon Robinson—Apologetics Series - Deacon Gerry Robinson will be giving a series of apologetics classes at St. Lawrence from now through the spring of 2019. The first class will be on Sunday, October 14, following the 10AM Mass and will be an introduction to apologetics and include a history of splits in the Church and Catholicism’s undisputed place for the first 1000 years after her establishment.
Rosary Rally - On Saturday, October 13, at 11:30AM we will commemorate the 101st Anniversary of Mary’s appearance at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. All will assemble in the front of St. Lawrence Church and process to Front Street for the recitation of the Rosary. After the Rosary there will be a sermon followed by Benediction in St. Lawrence. In case of inclement weather, all will take place inside the church.
Knights of the Altar Annual Raffle - The Knights of the Altar (Altar Servers) will be selling raffle tickets outside following both Masses today. The tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00, and the grand prize is a statue of Our Lady of Fatima. The winning tickets will be drawn during the All Saints party on October 21. The Knights of the Altar use the funds raised for events such as their trip to Washington D.C. this past summer.
Father & Sons Camp Out - A parishioner is hosting an Friday/Saturday overnight Father & Sons camp out next weekend. This will include plenty of outdoor activities and talks from Father Franco. For more information about the event contact Father Franco at Fr.Franco@MaterDeiPa.com

Confirmation Candidates - Parents whose children are not enrolled in Mater Dei’s catechism program but would like to be Confirmed must contact the parish office by the end of October.
Novena to the Mother of God - From this Tuesday, October 2, until Wednesday, October 10 at the end of each Mass we will pray the Novena prayer to the Mother of God (Mater Dei), our Patroness. The prayer is found at the bottom of this bulletin. This novena is in preparation for the feast of The Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary on October 11th. Please take a bulletin home so that you can continue the novena when you are unable to attend Mass.

Filled with confidence in thy goodness and knowing full well thy power, I beseech thee to extend to me thine assistance in the journey of life, which is so full of dangers for my soul.
