Coffee & Donuts - Join us after the 10am Mass today for Coffee and Donuts in the Social Hall.

Building Fund - Today there will be a 2nd collection for our Building Fund.  The current debt on the new rectory is $71, 369.

Burgers & Bratwurst Potluck - No Donuts - On Sunday, September 30, following the 10am Mass we will have a potluck lunch with grilled hamburgers and bratwursts.  Please bring a dish to share.

Vespers Tonight - Vespers and Exposition with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament will be tonight from 5:30pm–6:30pm.  Sheets will be provided for all to follow along.

Special Mass Schedule, October 9-11 - Both priests will be away for FSSP district meetings October 9 — 11.  There will be no Masses on these three days.

Catechism Class Meeting Today - Our mandatory parent meeting for families in the catechism program is today at 9:15AM in the 1st Classroom.  The first day of classes will be on October 7th.

Saint Tarcisius Meeting - Our next St. Tarcisius Meeting is Saturday, October 6 at 5:00pm.  The group is for children ages 5 – 12 and meets monthly in order to train the children to meditate according to the Ignatian method.  Meetings are the 1st Saturday of the month from 5-7pm.  For information concerning our October meeting please contact us at SaintTarcisiusGroup@MaterDeiPA.com

Deacon Robinson—Apologetics Series - Deacon Gerry Robinson will be giving a series of apologetics classes at St. Lawrence from now through the spring of 2019.  The first class will be on Sunday, October 14, following the 10AM Mass and will be an introduction to apologetics and include a history of splits in the Church and Catholicism’s undisputed place for the first 1000 years after her establishment.

Rosary Rally - On Saturday, October 13, at 11:30AM we will commemorate the 101st Anniversary of Mary’s appearance at Fatima, Portugal in 1917.  All will assemble in the front of St. Lawrence Church and process to Front Street for the recitation of the Rosary.  After the Rosary there will be a sermon followed by Benediction in St. Lawrence.  In case of inclement weather, all will take place inside the church.

Confirmation Candidates - Parents whose children are not enrolled in Mater Dei’s catechism program but would like to be Confirmed must contact the parish office by the end of October.

Father & Sons Camp Out - A parishioner is hosting an Friday/Saturday overnight Father & Sons camp out on October 5 & 6.  This will include plenty of outdoor activities and talks from Father Franco.  For more information about the event contact Father Franco at Fr.Franco@MaterDeiPa.com

Young Ladies Tea Upcoming - Young ladies of the parish (ages 13-18) are invited to a morning Tea at Saint Lawrence with a talk from Fr Eichman on Saturday, October 27 following the 9:00am Mass.  For more details or to RSVP contact Jill Lear at jilllear@hotmail.com

Knights of the Altar Annual Raffle - The Knights of the Altar (Altar Servers) will be selling raffle tickets outside following both Masses the next two Sundays.  The tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00, and the grand prize is a saint statue.  The winning tickets will be drawn during the All Saints party on October 21.  The Knights of the Altar use the funds raised for events such as their trip to Washington D.C. this past summer.

This Week, Adult Convert / Confirmation Classes - The Convert/Adult Confirmation class are taught by Father Franco on Thursday evenings at 7pm.  They are given in the downstairs Social Hall.  Classes are open to all who wish to attend.  Direct any questions to Fr. Mass Intentions - We are now taking intentions for 2019.  Please limit the number of intentions to 10 per family at this time so that everyone has a chance to schedule their Masses.  Envelopes are on the brochure stand in the church vestibule.  If possible, drop them in the collection basket, or mail them to the office rather than handing them directly to a priest.
