Coffee & Donuts - Join us after the 10am Mass today for Coffee and Donuts in the Social Hall in the basement of the School Building.

Solemn Profession of Vows - Sister Mary Catherine Rose and Sister Diana invite you to attend Sr. Diana's profession of vows as a consecrated diocesan hermit on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at 11:00am at St. Lawrence. The Traditional Latin Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Gainer who will be accepting Sister's vows. The recitation of the Rosary will follow the mass.  Please keep Sister in your prayers.

Baby Bottle Fundraiser - The Baby Bottle Fundraiser this summer raised $1,300.33.  This will cover the purchase of 325 “Blessing Bags” for Undefeated Courage.

Chant Camp This Week—8am Morning Masses - This week we will have an extra 8am Mass each weekday except Wednesday for those attending the Chant Camp.  These Masses are open to non-campers as well.  The Tuesday 8am Mass will be a Sung Mass.

Homeschool Co-op this Fall - We are currently planning the fall semester of our homeschool co-op.  This will be the fourth year of our co-op and the second consecutive year that it will include the chorister program. If you are interested in joining the program for the first time please contact the office at contact@MaterDeiPA.com

St. Tarcisius Meeting - Our next St. Tarcisius Meeting is Saturday, August 4th at 5:00pm.  The group is for children ages 5 – 12 and meets monthly in order to train the children to meditate.  Each meeting includes a short, priest led meditation, the rosary, and a potluck dinner.  Meetings are the 1st Saturday of the month from 5-7pm.  We gather in a different host family’s home each month.  For information concerning our August meeting please contact us at SaintTarcisiusGroup@MaterDeiPA.com

Charitable Bequests - Many of the Church’s most helpful gifts come from the estates of generous donors.  As we at Mater Dei look ahead to our future challenges we ask you to please remember Mater Dei in your will or living trust.  Contact Fr Eichman with any questions.

Food for Needy - In the basket behind the last pew, the Holy Name Society collects non-perishable food for the Silence of Mary homes.  Your gifts of food help these homes in a significant way.

Cathechism Classes - Registration for our Catechism program will open in two weeks.  A mandatory parent meeting will be held at 9:15am on Sunday, September 23rd.  The first day of classes will be on October 7th.

Feast of St. Lawrence, Solemn High Mass, Parish Picnic—Bring Lawn Chairs - Our parish summer picnic will be at Adam Ricci park on Sunday, August 5, following the 10am Solemn High Mass.  Both an attendance sign-up sheet and a volunteer sign-up sheet are in the back of church.  There will be picnic table seating for 100 but we expect over 150 attendees.  Consider bringing lawn chairs.

This Tuesday & Thursday, 7pm, Summer Music Conferences - In conjunction with our children’s Chant Camp, Rick Wheeler, the music director of our FSSP parish in Denver will be offering two conferences for adults this week.  The conferences will be held in the Social Hall at 7pm and are open to all.

Sacred Music History - Tuesday, 7/31 at 7pm. The History Conference is a journey through 1200 years of Catholic liturgical history covering the changes and styles of music used in the liturgy over that time.

Vocal Pedagogy - Thursday, 8/2 at 7pm. The pedagogy conference is a scientific examination of the voice and how it works when speaking or singing. Amateur and professional singers alike have found this course to benefit them, and the science is fascinating for anyone, singer or not!

 Refreshments will be provided both evenings.
